What is Movember?
Movember is an annual world-wide charity event where men grow mustaches and raise money to fight prostate cancer. Participating mustache growers, known as Mo Bros, register on the Movember website with a clean shaven face. Then, as they grow their mustaches, they become “walking, talking billboards” and seek sponsorship for their efforts. The money goes toward several foundations to help fight prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.
Ards Rugby have a couple of reasons for getting involved, as Jamie Stinson comments
“My brother has also set up the ‘Terry’s Foundation’ for Rugby, this is an initiative to raise funds through sporting activites to fund cancer research. This is my main reason for doing Movember in honour of Terry and also for our coach Cois Beukes who died last year from quite a rare form of Cancer.”
