However, the Wallace team is determined to have a good run in the Subsidiary Shield and will prepare for their Shield game away to Down High School on Saturday 19th with a home fixture against Royal School, Armagh on Saturday 12th. The Wallace team put on an outstanding performance against Methody with their back row trio of Simon Gilmore, Cal McIlwaine and Daniel Henry getting through a lot of work. Nathan Reid and David Scott dominated the midfield exchanges while Jordan Heatley showed pace and power when he ran in two tries from his right wing position. The Royal School, Armagh team came safely through a very physical encounter against the Schools’ Cup holders, Ballymena Academy, in their 4th Round game. Harry Boyd was accurate with his kicking in the Schools’ Cup but the Armagh team will hope to play a more expansive game against the Wallace High School team on Saturday. Robbie Magowan, Timmy McNeice, Stuart Hooks and their RS Armagh team mates love to play the game with the ball in hand. This should be an entertaining encounter!
The Belfast High School team had an impressive Schools’ Cup run winning two games away from home in Rounds 2 and 3. This came to an end when they hosted Sullivan Upper in Round 4 but not before they had caused problems for the Holywood team with their first half performance. Robbie Fryers, Ryan Elliott, Adam White and Matthew Huntley are members of a talented Belfast High School backline who make effective use of the possession their forwards supply. Crucial members of the High School pack include their second row combination of Ryan McKay and Chris Taylor while Henry Atkinson, Ryan McGonigle and Ethan Clarke form a hard working break away trio. They host a Dalriada team on Saturday that was disappointed to lose at Belfast Inst in the previous round of the Schools’ Cup. The Dalriada team dominated that encounter for sixty minutes only to leak two tries in the final ten minutes of the game. The Dalriada team will be keen to get back to winning ways against Belfast High School in preparation for their Subsidiary Shield encounter against Regent House. Roger Bonnar and Andrew Skelton are key members of the Dalriada pack while Rhys McAuley and Ben Henderson form a very effective half back partnership. Jonny McMullan, Jonny Laughlin and Jonny McLaughlin are proven try scorers for the Ballymoney team. The Belfast High School defence will need to monitor them closely.
The Larne Grammar School made the Friends’ School team work hard for sixty minutes before the Lisburn team won the recent tie in the Northern Bank Ulster Schools’ Bowl competition. The Larne Grammar School team will host a Grosvenor Grammar School team on Saturday and will hope to push the Grosvenor team throughout the game. Ryan McAllister, Aaron McBride, Philip Andrews and Billy Brown all impressed in the game against Friends’ and will hope to do so once again on Saturday. The Grosvenor pack has been one of the main reasons for the recent success the team has experienced. They were devastated to lose their recent Schools’ Cup match against Coleraine AI in the last minute. The Grosvenor pack will hope to get enough possession to allow their talented backs to attack the Larne Grammar School team with the ball in hand. Scott Irvine, Peter Kennedy, Peter Davidson and Ben Coard are players that the Larne Grammar School team will need to monitor closely.
These games are all scheduled to kick off at 10-30am and supporters will be made welcome at all the venues.

Northern Bank Schools’ Subsidiary Shield Quarter Finals To be played onSaturday 19 February 2011 1.
