{"id":8715,"date":"2011-01-25T11:17:11","date_gmt":"2011-01-25T11:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/?p=8715"},"modified":"2011-01-26T11:26:35","modified_gmt":"2011-01-26T11:26:35","slug":"international-rugby-star-supports-tiny-life-%e2%80%98big-difference-day%e2%80%99","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/international-rugby-star-supports-tiny-life-%e2%80%98big-difference-day%e2%80%99\/","title":{"rendered":"International rugby star supports Tiny Life \u2018Big Difference Day\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fresh from helping Ulster qualify for the quarter finals of the Heineken Cup, rugby international Paddy Wallace has helped low cost airline bmibaby launch \u2018TinyLife Big Difference Day\u2019 (26th January 2011) \u2013 the latest fundraising initiative to support the airline\u2019s official charity partner in Northern Ireland, TinyLife.<\/p>\n<p> The Ulster and Ireland rugby star took a break from his vigorous training schedule to unveil a bmibaby aircraft named \u2018TinyLife, baby\u2019 with the help of bmibaby cabin manager Rachel Harding and five year old Ryan Beggs from Belfast who was cared for by the charity when he was born ten weeks premature.<\/p>\n<p> As part of the TinyLife Big Difference Day, bmibaby will also roll out an action packed fundraising schedule giving Northern Ireland\u2019s only premature and vulnerable baby charity the opportunity to fundraise at George Best Belfast City Airport and onboard bmibaby flights to and from Belfast City to Birmingham and East Midlands Airport.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/PEYE-bmibaby-0011.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/PEYE-bmibaby-0011.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"PEYE  bmibaby 001\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-8720\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p> Paddy Wallace said:<\/p>\n<p> \u201cIt\u2019s great to take time out to support TinyLife.  I have been a patron for five years now and have seen the great work the charity does both from a personal and professional perspective.  It\u2019s fantastic that bmibaby can support the charity like this as it means more sick babies and their families can benefit from TinyLife services.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Julian Carr, managing director, bmibaby, added:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOut of 25,575 babies born in Northern Ireland last year 1,800 were born prematurely.
