{"id":82553,"date":"2015-03-01T20:18:03","date_gmt":"2015-03-01T20:18:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/?p=82553"},"modified":"2020-10-24T13:07:35","modified_gmt":"2020-10-24T12:07:35","slug":"six-nations-social-media-memories-stored-and-shared-with-your-nations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/six-nations-social-media-memories-stored-and-shared-with-your-nations\/","title":{"rendered":"Six Nations social media memories stored and shared with Your Nations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the Six Nations heads to the mid-way mark, a social media project is chronicling memories from the games in the form of fan photos filtered from social media using geolocation data.<\/p>\n<p>Your Nations (http:\/\/yournations.org) stores photos from around the Six Nations stadia on match days, pulling through the excitement of the crowd during rugby\u2019s leading international tournament, as giving you a real-time view of Twitter \u2018possession\u2019 as fans get behind their teams on social media at home.<\/p>\n<p>To date the application has pulled in hundreds of fan images from the fixtures played so far, and will document photos posted to Twitter and Instagram during this weekends\u2019 games.<\/p>\n<p>Your Nations is a Six Nations first, and designed to give fans a feeling of what is was like to be in the crowd as the tournament progresses by pulling through photography from specific geolocations around the tournament stadiums.<\/p>\n<p>The application allows users to browse to matches via stadiums or fixtures, at which point they can view a gallery of fan images for the stadium in question &#8211; following the pre-match excitement, the fixture itself and the post-game revelry.
