All Blacks Sevens power to title defence in Wellington <\/p>\n

New Zealand won their first Cup title of the season by beating England 27-21 <\/p>\n

New Zealand beat England 27-21 in an enthralling final at the Sevens Wellington, round four of the 2014-15 HSBC Sevens World Series in Wellington. Seventeen-year-old debutant Rieko Ioane shone in the win, Gordon Tietjen’s side’s first of the Series. <\/p>\n

The result means the All Blacks Sevens move up to second in the overall World Series standings on 69 points behind South Africa (76), who finished third thanks to a 40-7 win over Scotland, and ahead of Fiji (64), Australia (58) and England (56). <\/p>\n

In the other competitions Fiji won the Plate, France beat Argentina in the Bowl and Canada lifted the Shield. <\/p>\n
