Professional everywhere but pocket.<\/p>\n<p>Long-standing entries into the GAA vernacular but irritating and, let\u2019s be honest, inaccurate too.<\/p>\n<p>While it was encouraging to see Gaelic inter-county players stand up for themselves in the wake of Stephen Hunt\u2019s comments, they just aren\u2019t professional. Let us rephrase that \u2014 they aren\u2019t just professional.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re much more.<\/p>\n<p>Never mind the money \u2014 Gaelic players don\u2019t rest enough to be considered pros. A lot of them don\u2019t know what to do with their down-time because they have so little of it. One need only look at how cabin fever arrested the International Rules team in Australia last month.
