This is followed by another training session where we concentrate on tactics, defence. It\u2019s high intensity and is where I develop the main bulk of my fitness. There\u2019s lots of running \u2013 about 6 kilometres over 60 minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>1pm:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 FITNESS: Massage \/ Physio \u201cI don\u2019t have a massage every day, but if something isn\u2019t quite right I\u2019ll have a massage or some physio following the high intensity training.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>1.30pm &#8211; REFUEL:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 FUEL: Lunch \u201cFor lunch, I usually go for a good all round balanced meal \u2013 so eating carbs, protein and vegetables. Typically it\u2019s something like steak, sweet potato and broccoli.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 FITNESS: Rest<\/p>\n<p>4pm &#8211; REFUEL:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 FUEL: Small snack \u201cI usually have a small snack around 4pm \u2013 some vegetables or salad with some protein. Sometimes I have a Nando\u2019s!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>7.30pm &#8211; REFUEL:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <strong>FUEL:<\/strong> Dinner \u201cIn the close-season I avoid carbs in the evening to keep as lean as possible. So my dinner typically consists of a big salad as the base and then I throw loads of protein on top. I love toppings like chicken, halloumi, strawberries, avocado and pear.
