Carrick Youth impress in pre-season friendlies<\/p>\n
Carrick Youth who once again this season are sponsored by Nk Ltd got there season of to a good start with three impressive wins against Malone Youth at the Tom Simms Memorial Park last Saturday.<\/p>\n
The Under 14s, shown in picture below, used all 27 squad players when recording a victory of 31-10 against a big and powerful Malone side. Although the home side lost 2 key players in Jack Cooper and Matthew Reith to injury the rest of the squad stepped up to the mark in producing a convincing win. Stand out players for the U14s were, as ever, centre Ciaran Wilson with two tries who was matched by his centre partner Curtis Jenkins. In the pack Adam Domnez and Rhys Willis both had stand out performances.<\/p>\n
In the other two games Carrick U16s produced a super performance in defeating Malone 24-19 while the U18s come out on top 26-19 in an entertaining encounter against their East Belfast opponents.<\/p>\n
Youth training at Carrick continues on Wednesday and Thursday nights with all new players most welcome.
