Ballyclare benefit from poor Bangor performance<\/p>\n
Following some excellent pre-season performances, Bangor were brought back to reality by Ballyclare, losing their first league game by 6-16. This lead, however, was short-lived. Within minutes of the restart, Ballyclare had brought play back into Bangor\u2019s half. Having won the ball from a ruck on the left hand side, a perfectly weighted cross-field kick floated over the head of Mark Widdowson and was collected by the Ballyclare winger, who then wisely passed inside to his supporting players who ran through to score to the right of the posts. \nHaving won the toss, Ballyclare chose to play against the wind in the first half. From Bangor\u2019s kick-off, they immediately went on the offensive and within 3 minutes had forced a penalty on Ballyclare\u2019s twenty-two. Keith Rossan converted the kick to give Bangor an early 3-0 lead.<\/p>\n
