Tag Rugby Final 2014<\/p>\n

The final of YFCU\u2019s annual tag rugby tournament, in association with platinum sponsor Danske Bank, took place on Saturday 26th July 2014 at Antrim Show, Shane\u2019s Castle.<\/p>\n

The senior section of the tournament followed the JNR (MORE ON THIS HERE<\/a>) with another 7 teams taking part in two leagues. The top two teams from each league made it through to the semi finals which resulted in Hillhall YFC facing Annaclone & Magherally YFC in the final. <\/p>\n

Annaclone & Magherally YFC emerged victorious and received the Adrian Cooper Shield and 2014 senior title.<\/p>\n

YFCU Deputy President Roberta Simmons announced the winners and John Henning, Head of Agri Relations, Danske Bank, presented the Rosemary Cooper and Adrian Cooper shields and commemorative medals kindly provided by the bank. <\/p>\n

Fair Play awards were presented to Spa YFC (juniors) and Coleraine YFC (seniors) for the courtesy and respect they showed towards their team mates, opposition and referee.<\/p>\n

YFCU would like to take this opportunity to thank Danske Bank for their continued support of this YFCU event and in particular John Henning, Debbie Reid, Andrew Tecey and Roberta Armstrong for attending the heats and final. <\/p>\n

Thanks are also extended to the IRFU Ulster Rugby development officers for all their help and support in running this popular competition and to the Order of Malta, Ballymena unit for attending the heats. <\/p>\n
