\nThe early seasonal weather got the better of a number of games over the weekend, prompting the cancellation or postponement of a number of fixtures because a snowflake was forecast to land somewhere. This is unfortunately a sign of the times as health and safety takes precedence over everything else. This will undoubtedly have a knock-on effect as the season progresses, but hopefully all postponed or cancelled games will be rescheduled in due course.
\nThe scribe travelled to Limerick and back via Dublin on Saturday and only encountered stubborn resistance from the elements over a short distance in Kildare. But apart from that, everywhere else appeared to be fine and dandy.
\nOne cant help wondering if a touring side from Eskimo RFC would have cancelled last week because the pitches over here were too soft, just a thought.
\nSix Nations Ticket Applications
\nApplications for the AWAY 2011 Six Nations match tickets are now available for club members at the club.

All applications should be returned to the club by TUESDAY 7th December from 7pm.

The club will be hosting a Table Quiz on Friday 10th December from 8pm. A maximum of 6 persons per team please, with prizes for the winners.<\/p>\n

The Teams Christmas Dinner Night will be held on Saturday 11th December from 8pm, so make sure you have your placed booked through your team captains for a great night\u2019s festive craic.<\/p>\n

Sunday 12th December sees the Mini sections Christmas party taking place from 2pm. More details on this event will be known soon.<\/p>\n

Tag Rugby<\/strong>
\nBookings for the next set of schools Tag Rugby sessions, are beginning to fill up nicely with Londonderry Primary, Comber Primary, St Patrick\u2019s Primary and Killinchy Primary all set to avail of this fun sport early in the New year. Ards Arena is also introducing Tag Rugby into their activities on Monday and Thursday evenings in January 2011.
\nTag Rugby (none contact) is for both boys and girls and can be played both indoors and out. Anyone who would like this great activity delivered to their school or clubs should contact Emma Hingston, the Sports Development Officer at Ards Borough Council on 02891 824000 or e-mail emma.hingston@ards-council.gov.uk to book their place.
