A gift idea for rugby players: a gift card for a sports shop they already use.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Boots come down to size, fit and stud type, and only the player knows what they need. With a gift card, a grassroots player can pick their own boots, gum shield or training kit, or save it for the January sales. Digital cards arrive by email, so it still works as a gift bought on 24 December.<\/p>\n

Some numbers:<\/strong><\/p>\n

* Gift cards top the list of gifts US consumers want to receive, at 50%, ahead of clothing at 46% (October 2025).<\/p>\n

* 23% of US adults have received a gift card for a store they didn’t like (August 2024).<\/p>\n

* In the UK, JD Sports gift cards get about 15,100 Google searches a month, Sports Direct about 6,000 and Decathlon about 1,400.<\/p>\n

* In the US, searches for Dick’s Sporting Goods gift cards reached 74,000 in December 2025, five times the 14,800 in July.<\/p>\n
