\nFounders, and sisters, Simi and Sam Aydee, bring their knowledge of incense stick artistry and alchemy to the fore with the release of an original scent combination, NEW Bulgarian Rose & Oudh
\njust as the roses burst into bloom in the Spring.<\/p>\n

Luxurious Arabian oudh and seductively-perfumed Bulgarian rose attars (oils), are soaked into halmaddi and woods then hand-wrapped around a humble bamboo stick to deliver a lingering,
\nminimum 45-minute burn of rich intensity with sensual notes of Oakmoss, Sandalwood, Amber and Geranium.<\/p>\n

Each box contains 20 luxury incense sticks, ethically hand-crafted with love and consciousness, masterfully created from the best quality oils and resins, sourced locally and from around the world.<\/p>\n

WHAT IS HALMADDI RESIN?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Halmaddi resin is in the beautiful base of most of the Temple of Incense masala incense. It is the natural gum that holds all the gorgeous oils and ingredients together on the bamboo stick. Much like frankincense,
\nmyrrh and benzoin, Halmaddi is a type of natural resin derived from the Ailanthus Malabarica tree, native to the Western Ghats of India. The rich, earth-coloured liquid is like molasses when fresh and hardens to a
\nbrittle resin developing a floral, balsamic nose as it ages.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an ingredient that has been used in incensemaking for centuries. Not only is the fragrance distinctive, it has a magical ability to help the incense oils, woods and herbs bind together and burn slowly and evenly.<\/p>\n

The Temple of Incense story began in 2012, on a little market stall on Portobello Road, when two sisters from London \u2013 Simi and Sam Aydee \u2013 set out to deliver world-class natural incense to homes across the UK and international markets.
