{"id":681073,"date":"2024-02-04T11:17:00","date_gmt":"2024-02-04T11:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/?p=681073"},"modified":"2024-02-04T12:22:18","modified_gmt":"2024-02-04T12:22:18","slug":"danske-bank-ulster-schools-round-up-saturday-3rd-february-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/danske-bank-ulster-schools-round-up-saturday-3rd-february-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Round Up Saturday 3rd February 2024."},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Round Up Saturday 3rd February 2024.<\/h3>\n<p>There were recently postponed and drawn Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 competition games played during the week, as well as some senior friendlies, in the lead up to one Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Bowl Round of Sixteen replay, Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield, Plate, Bowl and Trophy games, Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Cup, Plate and Trophy games, Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Cup and Plate games. and one 1stxv friendly game played on Saturday 3rd February.<br \/>\nIn the previously postponed Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Plate 1\/4 Final game, Dromore High School hosted Belfast High School in a game the Belfast High School team won by 19-14.<br \/>\nBelfast High School will now play Lurgan College in the 1\/2 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Trophy.<br \/>\nOn Monday 29th January Methodist College, Belfast 2ndxv played Enniskillen Royal Grammar School 2ndxv in their previously postponed Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Cup 1\/4 Final game.<br \/>\nThe Methodist College, Belfast 2ndxv won this game by 35-19 and will now play away to either Campbell College, Belfast in the 1\/2 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Cup.<br \/>\nIn their twice postponed Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Trophy 1\/4 Final game Belfast High School 2ndxv played Foyle and Londonderry College 2ndxv.<br \/>\nThe Foyle College team won this game by 17-12 and will now travel to play Coleraine Grammar School 2ndxv in the 1\/2 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Trophy.<br \/>\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Cup 1\/4 Final replay, Wallace High school hosted Ballymena Academy and won this close encounter by 19-17.<br \/>\nLater that evening at the Meadowbank Stadium in Magherafelt, Regent House School had teams playing against the Ulster Clubs\u2019 U17 and U18 teams.<br \/>\nFirst up was the Regent House School 3rdxv who played the Ulster Clubs\u2019 U17 team in a game the Ulster Clubs\u2019 team won by 34-7.<br \/>\nThe Regent House School team points were all scored by Joel Davison.<br \/>\nThe Ulster Clubs\u2019 U17 team scored six tries through Zachary Maguire, Coleraine RFC, who ran in for two, and Thomas Skelly, Banbridge RFC, Lochlan Gaynor, Virginia RFC, Sam Craig, Ballymena RFC and Jake Swindle, Clogher Valley RFC, each of whom touched down for one try apiece. Sam Craig added the extras to two of the tries.<br \/>\nThe Regent House School 2ndxv played the Ulster Clubs\u2019 U18 team in a closely contested game the Ulster Clubs\u2019 team won by 14-12.<br \/>\nThe Regent House School points came through one try each from Isaac Lowe and James Ward with one successful conversion from Josh Colville.<br \/>\nLachlan Maguire, Cavan RFC, and Ardan Goldridge, Rainey RFC, scored the Ulster Clubs\u2019 U18 tries with Lachlan adding two successful conversion kicks.<br \/>\nOn Tuesday 30th January, Belfast Royal Academy 3rdxv played Royal School, Armagh 3rdxv in their postponed Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Cup 1\/4 Final game.<br \/>\nThe Belfast Royal Academy 3rdxv team won this game by 22-0.<br \/>\nOn the same afternoon Rainey Endowed School Medallion hosted Omagh Academy Medallion in the replay of their drawn Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Bowl 1\/4 Final game.<br \/>\nThe Rainey Endowed School team won this replay by 20-12 and will now play Friends\u2019 School, Lisburn in the 1\/2 Final.<br \/>\nOn Wednesday 31st January, Campbell College, Belfast 2ndxv played Wallace High school 2ndxv in their unavoidably delayed Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Cup 1\/4 Final game.<br \/>\nThe Campbell College, Belfast team won the game by 31-19.<br \/>\nCambridge House Grammar School hosted Bangor Grammar School in the replay of their previously drawn Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Bowl Round of Sixteen game.<br \/>\nThis game was another closely contested affair with the Cambridge House Grammar School team emerging as 15-12 winners.<br \/>\nJustin Mark and Josh Dobbin each scored one try for the Cambridge House Grammar School team with Paddy Roberts adding one conversion, as well as one successful penalty kick.<br \/>\nRory Fulton and Noah Courtney Gardener scored the Bangor Grammar School tries with Adam Bickerstaff adding one successful conversion.<br \/>\nIn the first 1\/2 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Trophy, Bangor Academy 1stxv hosted Down High School 2ndxv under the floodlights at Uprichard Park, home of Bangor RFC.<br \/>\nThe Bangor Academy 1stxv won the game by 38-5.<br \/>\nBoth teams, their coaches and travelling supporters, would like to thank Bangor RFC for the provision of facilities and hosting the game.<br \/>\nIn the 1\/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Cup, Royal Belfast Academical Institution 4thxv played Royal Belfast Academical Institution 3rdxv.<br \/>\nThe Royal Belfast Academical Institution 3rdxv team won this game by 17-5.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, in the 1\/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate, Ballyclare High School 3rdxv played Royal Belfast Academical Institution 5thxv and won the game by 22-5.<br \/>\nIn the first of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Trophy 1\/2 Finals, Banbridge Academy hosted Bangor Academy and recorded a 43-14 victory.<br \/>\nOn Friday 2nd February, Rainey Endowed School 2ndxv hosted Royal School, Armagh in their previously postponed Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Plate 1\/4 Final game.<br \/>\nAt the end of an absorbing encounter, it was the Rainey Endowed School team that emerged as 23-20 winners.<br \/>\nOn the same afternoon, Campbell College, Belfast 3rdxv played Our Lady and St Patrick\u2019s College, Knock in the 1\/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Cup.<br \/>\nThe Campbell College, Belfast team won this game by 40-0.<br \/>\nThe draws for the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Cup and Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate 1\/2 Finals were made in Omagh Academy.<br \/>\nThe results of the draws are as follows; &#8211;<br \/>\nDanske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Cup 1\/2 Finals.<br \/>\n1\/Wallace High School 3rdxv v Royal Belfast Academical Institution 3rdxv<br \/>\n2\/Campbell College 3rdxv v Belfast Royal Academy 3rdxv.<br \/>\nThese Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Cup 1\/2 Finals MUST be played on\/before Saturday 10th February.<br \/>\nDanske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate 1\/2 Finals.<br \/>\n1\/Methodist College, Belfast 3rdxv v Methodist College, Belfast 4thxv.<br \/>\n2\/Methodist College, Belfast 5thxv v Ballyclare High School 3rdxv.<br \/>\nThese Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate 1\/2 Finals MUST be played on\/before Saturday 10th February.<br \/>\nOn Saturday 3rd February there was almost a full list of Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield and Plate 1\/4 Final games, Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Bowl and Plate 1\/2 Final games, Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Cup, Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Plate, Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Trophy 1\/2 Final games played as well as one Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate 1\/4 Final game and one Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate 1\/4 Final replay game.<br \/>\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield 1\/4 Finals, Sullivan Upper School played Regent House School and won the game by 7-0.<br \/>\nRoyal Belfast Academical Institution played Campbell College, Belfast and won an enthralling encounter by 15-13.<br \/>\nColeraine Grammar School played Belfast Royal Academy and recorded a 25-15 victory.<br \/>\nDalriada School played Foyle and Londonderry College and won the game by 13-5.<br \/>\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Plate 1\/4 Finals, Methodist College, Belfast played Royal School, Armagh and won the game by 31-5.<br \/>\nRoyal School, Dungannon was scheduled to have hosted Antrim Grammar School but the game was moved to another date.<br \/>\nBallyclare High School played Enniskillen Royal Grammar School and recorded a 24-12 victory<br \/>\nBallymena Academy played Wallace High School and recorded a 36-12 victory.<br \/>\nFollowing the results of these Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield and Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Plate 1\/4 Final games came through, the draws for the 1\/2 Finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield and Plate were released.<br \/>\nThe results of these draws are as follows; &#8211;<br \/>\nDanske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield 1\/2 Finals.<br \/>\n1\/Royal Belfast Academical Institution v Coleraine Grammar School<br \/>\n2\/Dalriada School v Sullivan Upper School<br \/>\nThese games will be played at neutral venues on Saturday 24th February. The winners of the first game listed will have use of the Ulster Home Changing Rooms in the Kingspan Stadium for the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield Final on Tuesday 5th March.<br \/>\nDanske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Plate 1\/2 Finals.<br \/>\n1\/Methodist College, Belfast v Ballyclare High School<br \/>\n2\/Ballymena Academy v Royal School, Dungannon\/Antrim Grammar School<br \/>\nThese games will be played at the home venue of the first teams listed and MUST be played on\/before Saturday 24th February.<br \/>\nIn the 1\/2 Finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools Medallion Bowl, Portadown College played Bangor Grammar School and won the game by 29-0.<br \/>\nRainey Endowed School was scheduled to have played Friends\u2019 School, Lisburn in the second 1\/2 Final but the game has been moved to another date.<br \/>\nIn the 1\/2 Finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools Medallion Trophy, Belfast High School was scheduled to have played Lurgan College but the game has been moved to another date.<br \/>\nIn the 1\/2 Finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Cup, Royal Belfast Academical Institution played Belfast Royal Academy and won the game by 40-14.<br \/>\nFor particular reasons, the second semi-final of the Danske Bank 2ndxv Cup game, featuring the Campbell College, Belfast 2ndxv and the Methodist College, Belfast 2ndxv has had to have been rescheduled.<br \/>\nIn the 1\/2 Finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Plate, Ballymena Academy played Banbridge Academy in a game the Ballymena Academy team won by 51-5.<br \/>\nBallymena Academy will now play the winners of the Rainey Endowed School v Royal School, Dunganoon game, which has been rescheduled, in the final.<br \/>\nIn the second 1\/2 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Trophy, Coleraine Grammar School played Foyle and Londonderry College and won the closely contested game by 13-10.<br \/>\nColeraine Grammar School 2ndxv will now play Bangor Academy 1stxv in the final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Plate.<br \/>\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate 1\/4 Final game, Methodist College, Belfast 3rdxv played Campbell College, Belfast 4thxv and recorded a 38-7 victory.<br \/>\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate 1\/4 Final replay, Methodist College, Belfast 4thxv defeated Rainey Endowed School 3rdxv by 22-12.<br \/>\nThere was one 1stxv friendly game played on Saturday 3rd February when Bangor Grammar School hosted Lurgan College.<br \/>\nThe Bangor Grammar School team won the game by 45-5 with tries from Jack McGreevy, Shay Ritchie, Frazer Fulton, Noah Courtney Gardner, Callum Moore, Ryan Gowdy and Alex Simpson.
