However, the frost covered pitch ensured the game was postponed.<br \/>\nOn the evening of Tuesday 14th January Campbell College, Belfast played Merchiston Castle School in the Oriam Indoor National 4G Centre in Edinburgh.<br \/>\nThe Campbell College, Belfast team won another close encounter by 33-31.<br \/>\nAngus McGregor, Euan Robinson, and Glen Crawford impressed in the Merchiston pack while Hamish McArthur, Isaac Coates and Chris Thompson stood out in the back division.<br \/>\nThe Campbell College, Belfast team scored five tries through Flynn Longstaff, Jake Daly, Cameron Faith, Sean Robinson and James McConnell. Matthew Rea was successful with four of his conversion kicks.<br \/>\nOn Wednesday 18th January Belfast Royal Academy travelled to play Terenure College on the magnificent 4G pitch in Dublin at Terenure RFC.<br \/>\nThe game, which Terenure College won by 22-17, proved to be an excellent run out for the players in both squads.<br \/>\nThe Terenure College points came through tries from Keith Byrne, who ran in for two, Lorcan Friery and Elliot Mallon. Rory King added the extras to one of the tries.<br \/>\nThe Belfast Royal Academy team points came through ties from Ben Dewhurst, Ben Anderson and Oliver Scott. Ryan O\u2019Hara was successful with one of his conversion kicks.<br \/>\nThere were also some Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 competition games scheduled to have been played on Wednesday 18th January.<br \/>\nIn the 1\/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Cup Ballyclare High School was scheduled to have played Wallace High School but the game was postponed.<br \/>\nIn the 1\/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Plate Lurgan College was scheduled to have played Enniskillen Royal Grammar School but the game was postponed.<br \/>\nIn the much delayed Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Trophy game Belfast High School should have played Dromore High School but the game was postponed until Saturday 21st January.<br \/>\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools; 3rdxv Cup 1\/4 Final the Campbell College, Belfast 4thxv v Royal Belfast Academical Institution 4thxv in a game was postponed.<br \/>\nOn Thursday 19th January Enniskillen Royal Grammar School was scheduled to host Bangor Academy in the 1\/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Trophy. However, the game was rescheduled to take place on Saturday 21st January.<br \/>\nOn Friday 20th January Friends\u2019 School, Lisburn 2ndxv was scheduled to play Royal School, Armagh 2ndxv in the 1\/4 Final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Plate. However, the game was postponed until Monday 23rd January.<br \/>\nOn Saturday 21st January quite a few Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 competition games were scheduled to take place. Unfortunately, in most cases, weather conditions dictated otherwise.<br \/>\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Cup 1\/4 Finals Campbell College, Belfast 2ndxv v Ballymena Academy 2ndxv was postponed.<br \/>\nMethodist College, Belfast 2ndxv v Royal Belfast Academical Institution 2ndxv was postponed.<br \/>\nHowever, one Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Cup 1\/4 Final game did take place when Sullivan Upper School 2ndxv played Regent House School 2ndxv and won the game by 22-10.<br \/>\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Trophy 1\/4 Final Bangor Grammar School 2ndxv played Down High School 2ndxv in a game the Bangor Grammar School team won by 12-10.<br \/>\nFoyle and Londonderry v Royal School, Dungannon game has been rescheduled.<br \/>\nPortadown College will await the winners of the much delayed Dromore High School v Belfast High School Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Trophy 2nd Round game which has now been rescheduled for Monday 23rd January.<br \/>\nRainey Endowed School v Dalriada School was postponed.<br \/>\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Cup 1\/4 Final Royal Belfast Academical Institution 3rdxv played Campbell College, Belfast 3rdxv in a game the Campbell College, Belfast team won by 33-0. In order to get this game completed on time the venue was switched and the game was played on the excellent 4G Pitch at Newforge.<br \/>\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield Round of Sixteen eight games were scheduled to have taken place.<br \/>\nBallyclare High School v Royal School, Armagh was postponed.<br \/>\nThanks to the outstanding work of Anton, the groundsman at the JC Picken Playing Fields at Roughfort, assisted by staff members Chris McCarey and DJ Creighton in getting the pitch playable, Belfast Royal Academy played Sullivan Upper School and won the very close encounter by 8-7.<br \/>\nDromore High School v Larne Grammar School was postponed.<br \/>\nFriends\u2019 School, Lisburn v Ballymena Academy was postponed.<br \/>\nFoyle and Londonderry College v Bangor Grammar School was postponed.<br \/>\nMethodist College, Belfast v Campbell College, Belfast was postponed.<br \/>\nRoyal Belfast Academical Institution v Wallace High School was postponed.<br \/>\nRoyal School, Dungannon v Regent House School was postponed.<br \/>\nIn the 1\/4 Finals of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Bowl four games were scheduled to have taken place.<br \/>\nAntrim Grammar School v Belfast High School was postponed.<br \/>\nColeraine Grammar School v Omagh Academy was postponed<br \/>\nLimavady Grammar School v Lurgan College was postponed.<br \/>\nRainey Endowed School v Down High School was postponed.<br \/>\nIn the previously postponed Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Trophy 1\/4 Final game Enniskillen Royal Grammar School hosted Bangor Academy in a game the Bangor Academy team won by 43-12.<br \/>\nIn the remaining Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Trophy 1\/4 Final games, scheduled for Saturday 21st January, the Dalriada School v Banbridge Academy, Grosvenor Grammar School v Craigavon Senior High School and Strabane Academy v Ballyclare Secondary School games were postponed.<br \/>\nSchools have been advised to get all these postponed games rearranged as quickly as possible within the regulations of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 competitions.<br \/>\nThe Ulster Branch office should be notified of the rearrangements as early as possible so that attempts can be made to get referees appointed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Round Up Saturday 21st January 2023 On Tuesday 17th January the Grosvenor Grammar School Medallion team was scheduled to host Craigavon Senior High School in the 1\/4 Final of the Danke Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Trophy.
