Introducing BEPPS Snacks – Peas with Purpose!<\/h3>\n

London-based startup, BEPPS Snacks (www.beppssnacks.com) is on a mission to change the way we snack with a delicious range of pea, pulse and grain snacks, which hero the black eyed pea.<\/p>\n

Founded by Eve Yankah in 2017, the Great Taste Award winning brand is pioneering healthy, plant-based snacks that are loved by the whole family. Inspired by her daughter Giselle who loved eating crisps, Eve created BEPPS after recognising a need for healthier and more inclusive snacks for her child and had her lightbulb moment when she remembered how much she loved eating black eyed peas when she was growing up.<\/p>\n

With her mission in mind, Eve set out to find the best manufacturer to produce a tasty range of Black Eyed Pea Puff Snacks AKA BEPPS! After nine months of building her supply chain, the first batch of BEPPS samples was created in September 2017, three months before Eve had her second child, Ozzy \u2013 what a year!
\nThe delicious and better for you UK-made snacks are vegan friendly, gluten free and always 90 calories or less per serving. Starting at just 80p per pack, there are five products in the BEPPS range; the classically moreish Cheese Puffs (made with vegan cheese), feisty Sweet Chili Puffs (with that ever so pleasing balance of sweet and spicy flavours) and the most recent flavour Salt & Vinegar Puffs (deliciously sharp and tangy). Ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy, BEPPS also recently introduced new crunchy and light Popped Salt & Black Pepper Chips and smoky and sweet Popped BBQ Chips.
\nNot only are these filling and nutritious, highly delicious and fibre-rich pea, pulse and grain based snacks a great, low GI alternative to, traditionally high calorie and sat fat, potato based snacks, but they are also ethical too.
\nWith the BEPPS Snacks ethos centered around \u2018better for you\u2019 and accessible food; Eve believes in the importance of creating a better world and so far over 60,000 packs of BEPPS have been donated to food banks via City Harvest in London and nationwide via Woman\u2019s Aid UK.<\/p>\n

Eve also believes that a good education should be every child\u2019s right; as such, sales of BEPPS Snacks also contribute to the St Nicholas Mission Academy in Ghana, a school that strives to create a safe environment for children to learn by receiving free primary school education. BEPPS sponsor five children to receive free education, nutritious meals, safe drinking water, basic healthcare and of course delicious BEPPS Snacks year-round.<\/p>\n

For her leadership, impressive business milestones to date and her charity work, Eve has been named one of 15 Food Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2021 by the Great British Entrepreneur Awards; BEPPS Snacks has also been chosen as a Finalist in the \u2018Made in the UK\u2019 category of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2021.<\/p>\n
