Having masterminded the recent successful Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Senior Squads\u2019 Lockdown Challenge Fun Run event, John Andrews has now thought up another lockdown challenge fun run event for schoolboy players in Ulster Schools. This time it be specifically for players at Medallion level and schools are asked to let John know if they are able to enter a team into this \u201cYahtzee\u201d Run event.
\nAll schools attached to Ulster Rugby have been notified of the impending event which will run from February 22nd until February 27th and any schools interested in participating in this event should contact John immediately at 0776026798 or jfm_andrews@hotmail.com.
\nAlmost five hundred players and staff from thirteen schools enjoyed participating in the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Senior Squads Lockdown Challenge Fun Run Event and it is hoped that more schools, Medallion players and coaches will wish to become involved in this event.
\nJohn has adapted the challenge to make it closer to rugby specific fitness in terms of distances to be run. This one is based on boys running 5 runs throughout the week. There will be one day set aside as a rest day.
\nCompetitors will run 1K, 2K, 3K, 4K, & 5K with points for completion and an opportunity to be selected on the Dream-Team based on the quickest time in their position over 3Km-Rugby Yahtzee!
