I\u2019ve still got plenty of years ahead of me here at Cas.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 615px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/cid_7D133C1E-097D-4E95-81B0-1FF033DD96F2-L0-001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"615\" height=\"864\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rugby League ace Liam Watts<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Of his new business venture, Liam says: \u201cI think the Castleford and Pontefract area has had a lot of investment by way of new build and industry and commercial units, meaning more employment for the immediate area and along with great access to Leeds, which is arguably the second biggest financial institution after London. It\u2019s the perfect area at the perfect time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe uncertainty in the property market is already showing signs of disappearing with the uncertainty over Brexit soon to end and the election over and done with, so that\u2019s why it\u2019s a great time to launch the business.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am a 50-50 partner at the moment, but once I\u2019ve learned the business thoroughly, I aim to own it outright.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNothing ventured nothing gained, as they say. I can put my hand to anything and do it to the best of my ability. That\u2019s always been my attitude to life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kelvin Brook, Regional Manager of easyProperty, is a fan who met Liam at a Castleford match. He says: \u201cI\u2019m backing Liam all the way in his bid to make this a success.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s shown his toughness on the field and I feel that will help him in the business world when he decides to hang up his boots.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLiam shows the same desire to make it work as he has always shown in a Castleford shirt \u2013 and I\u2019m sure he\u2019ll be a big success.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe estate agency world is fiercely competitive \u2013 in many ways it\u2019s just like Rugby League.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe feel with our experience and knowledge we can teach people like Liam how to be good estate agents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight from our initial discussions. Liam has demonstrated a sound, basic knowledge of estate agency and the house selling process and business practices in general, so we are extremely excited about how the orange Castleford Tiger can work with the orange easyProperty brand!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>David Brierley, managing director of easyProperty, said: \u201cIt\u2019s great having Liam on board.
