The calendar looks great and what is even better is that all the proceeds will be used to find new ways to treat cancer here in Northern Ireland. I really enjoyed being a part of it. Getting my hair done covered in fake mud and surrounded by smoke was a bit of a strange experience but it was good fun. Thanks to research, more people are beating the disease than ever before and Cancer Research UK is at the heart of this progress. Belfast is home to one of Cancer Research UK’s Centres, and the city is recognised worldwide for ground-breaking cancer research. The Centre brings together scientists, doctors and nurses who are building on existing strengths in research, turning discoveries in the lab into new, more effective ways to detect, monitor and treat people with cancer.

Ulster Rugby has teamed up with Cancer Research UK to work together throughout the 2013/14 season to help ‘Kick Cancer into Touch’. Each year, Ulster Rugby raises money for a designated charity or voluntary organisation. Through the partnership with Cancer Research UK, Ulster Rugby will promote and support the lifesaving work that the charity does in Northern Ireland.

Participating players
January – Johann Muller
February – Nick Williams
March – Stuart Olding
April – Iain Henderson
May – Craig Gilroy
June – Rory Best
July – Robbie Diack
August – Jared Payne
September – Roger Wilson
October – Ruan Pienaar
November – Michael Allen
December – Tommy Bowe

Ulster Rugby has launched a 2014 calendar with all proceeds going to the Province’s charity partner for this season, Cancer Research UK.
