Country Comes to City Saturday 14th June 2014
\nCity of Derry Rugby Club and Institute Football Club have joined forces to promote an open air Country Music concert, next summer, at Judges Road, featuring Nathan Carter and his Band. <\/p>\n

\"Country<\/a><\/p>\n

Nathan is the hottest ticket in Entertainment in Ireland and has been attributed with leading the revival of the Country & Irish genre since he released his debut album, \u2018Starting Out\u2019 in 2007 and currently with his massive hit \u2018Wagon Wheel\u2019. He has been wowing crowds all over the UK and Ireland with his exciting brand of Irish Country Music and is sure to attract a crowd of thousands to this event. His latest album, \u2018Where I wanna be\u201d was released in August 2013<\/p>\n

Also appearing on stage will be support act, the exciting new up and coming Country talent Lee Matthews and his band. Lee, who has previously appeared on stage in America with stars like Westlife, McFly, Shane Ward, and the SugaBabes, has a growing following and is poised to burst onto the live Country music scene in Ireland and is destined to be the next big name in Irish Country Music.<\/p>\n

This will be a major fundraising event for both clubs and plans are already in place for the concert, with crowd safety, security and traffic arrangements paramount for the successful running of, what promises to be, a special mid-summer Country Music Spectacular at Judges Road.<\/p>\n
