{"id":55678,"date":"2013-10-07T09:35:59","date_gmt":"2013-10-07T08:35:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/?p=55678"},"modified":"2013-10-07T09:35:59","modified_gmt":"2013-10-07T08:35:59","slug":"new-captain-vice-captain-ards-rfc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/new-captain-vice-captain-ards-rfc\/","title":{"rendered":"New Captain and Vice Captain at Ards RFC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With a new coaching team and Management team at the helm of Ards RFC this season, the decision was made to delay appointing the 1st XV Captain and Vice-Captain until the commencement of the All Ireland League Campaign in order for the new regime to assess the players and their suitability for the role.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was made at a playing and selection meeting on Tuesday and announced to the players at training on the Thursday prior to the Suttonians game.<\/p>\n<p>This season\u2019s Captain will be Rob McCausland, a recruit 2 seasons ago from Bangor who is equally at home in the back row or second row, Rob was last season\u2019s player of the year and has great leadership qualities. <\/p>\n<p>Vice-Captain will be Mark Banford, an Ards man through and through; who has came up from Mini Rugby through Youth Rugby to 1st XV at Ards.
