It can be done anywhere, at any time, and it\u2019s safe, simple and cheap, so you can start today and there are many health benefits too.<\/p>\n<p>Brisk walking can, Lower your LDL cholesterol (the \u201cbad\u201d one), Raise  your HDL cholesterol (the \u201cgood\u201d one)<br \/>\nLower your blood pressure, Reduce your risk of, or manage type 2 diabetes, Manage your weight.<br \/>\nImprove your mood,Keep you strong and fit, Reduce the risk of heart attack by the same amount as a more vigorous exercise, such as jogging.<\/p>\n<p>If you aren\u2019t used to being active, start slowly. And if you\u2019re worried about your joints or any existing health condition, talk to your GP first.<br \/>\nUsing a pedometer, find out how many steps you take in a normal day.
