{"id":47260,"date":"2013-06-07T23:19:19","date_gmt":"2013-06-07T22:19:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/?p=47260"},"modified":"2013-06-07T23:19:51","modified_gmt":"2013-06-07T22:19:51","slug":"its-official-we-will-be-live-streaming-with-sound-the-btw-shiells-tag-tournament-on-june-8th-belfast-harlequins-rfc-for-barnardos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/its-official-we-will-be-live-streaming-with-sound-the-btw-shiells-tag-tournament-on-june-8th-belfast-harlequins-rfc-for-barnardos\/","title":{"rendered":"The BTW Shiells Tag Tournament Will be Live Streamed On June 8th @ Belfast Harlequins RFC &#8211; for Barnardo&#8217;s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of Northern Ireland\u2019s most keenly anticipated summer sporting events, The BTWShiells Charity Rugby Tournament will be kicking off on 8th June at the home of one of the Province\u2019s leading rugby clubs, Harlequins.<br \/>\nTo watch the tournament live and hear the compare + the latest summer music hits tune in here on June the 8th From kick off at 1pm right though to the finals around 5 pm, CLICK <a href=\"http:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/channel\/\">HERE<\/a><br \/>\nThis is the fifth year that BTWShiells, Northern Ireland\u2019s largest commercial and residential practice, has organised the charity tag tournament which to date has raised more than \u00a325,000 for local charities.<\/p>\n<p>Stuart Draffin from BTWShiells said:  \u201cThis year\u2019s chosen charity is Barnardo\u2019s NI and I am confident that we will once again be in a position to donate a substantial sum to this very worthy cause.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHappily the tournament has become a major highlight in the arena of the tag rugby season attracting teams from right across the Province proving that it is one of the most popular summer sporting activities played by both men and women\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leona McEvoy from Barnardo\u2019s NI said: \u201cWe are delighted BTWShiells has chosen Barnardo\u2019s NI as the beneficiary of its charity tag rugby tournament this year.<\/p>\n<p>Barnardo\u2019s NI has over 40 services throughout Northern Ireland.  These services reach out, protect and support children and young people who are disadvantaged, who are at risk, whose pathways in life have been fractured, and who face individual and collective adversities in their young lives that most of us will never encounter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery penny raised through BTWShiells Tag Rugby tournament will go towards Barnardo\u2019s NI services to help us continue to promote positive outcomes for all children in terms of their wellbeing, achievement and participation as young citizens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She concluded: \u201cWe simply cannot thank BTWShiells enough for its support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The charity tag mixed rugby tournament will kick off at 1pm with section winners going through to semi final play offs with the final planned at 5pm.<\/p>\n<p>The event promises to be a great day not only for the competitors battling for the honours on the pitch, but also for the crowds of family, friends and well wishers who give the event its unique atmosphere.  Making sure there is entertainment for almost every age and taste the organisers have added face painters and bouncy castles plus live music and a BBQ to the sporting programme.   The event will be hosted by well known Cool FM DJ, Connor Philips, who will be overseeing and encouraging all the teams during the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Stuart Draffin says, \u201cThis year we are confident of attracting the largest ever number of teams, all competing for the title of BTWShiells Tag Rugby Charity Champions for 2013  &#8211; and for the bragging rights that go with this much talked-about Tournament!
