I dare to hope you could join us in support of all families living with Autism and Asperger Syndrome. <\/p>\n<p>The Dr Frank Harrington Memorial International Challenge Weekend<br \/>\nRyder Cup UK have once again donated to the appeal 2 Tickets for the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor.<\/p>\n<p>This represents the serious side to the golf on Frank\u2019s bi-annual,<br \/>\nfamily golf challenge weekend, to be held 20th &#038; 21st August. Since<br \/>\nhis death in 2001, Frank\u2019s friends and colleagues in Ireland, Belgium<br \/>\nand further afield have gathered to celebrate this tribute to his<br \/>\nlifetime passion for the game of golf and his contribution to the care<br \/>\nof Autistic Children and those suffering from Asperger Syndrome.<\/p>\n<p>We are very grateful to Mark Walker, Area General Manager of<br \/>\nHilton NI &#038; his team at Hilton Templepatrick who are willingly<br \/>\nhosting this prestigious event on their Championship Golf Course<br \/>\nand offering the hospitality and facilities of their delightful<br \/>\nclubhouse to our celebrity, guests and friends.<\/p>\n<p>The Harrington Family have also donated 2 Celtic Manor Ryder Cup Ticketsfor a Charity Auction on the night. All proceeds and other ballots will go to support Autistic Children and Asperger Syndrome Research.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a surprise celebrity guest! <\/p>\n<p>Bangor teams seek to retain their name on the International Trophy! We hope that many friends at home and abroad will honour us with their presence, to take up the challenge and also play for the suite of crystal permanent trophies and other fantastic prizes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrank was a Director in the EU and the first ever foreigner to Captain a Belgian Golf Club. Actually to his credit he translated the \u2018new rules\u2019 as a Board Member of the GUB. Frank was a founder member of the Wilde Geese (and one of the folks to help member Paul Mc Ginley in his early career).  Known as the \u2018White Chief\u2019 because of his prematurely white hair Frank personified everything that is good about golf&#8230;..even if he was a pain in the proverbial to miscreants on the course! Our son Kevin adored him and is so grateful that he was able to play a reasonable round of golf with his Dad before Frank died.&#8221; Ann Harrington<\/p>\n<p>It would be wonderful if anyone interested and available could enter a team into this worthwhile event where everyone will enjoy a fantastic day out. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a guaranteed great day out with some fantastic prizes to be won! The \u2018craic\u2019 was mighty two years ago and we are hoping to recapture that spirit this year!
