In 2013 and 2015, his restaurant El Celler de Can Roca was voted No.1 in The World&#8217;s 50 Best Restaurants, and in 2016 his chef-peers named him winner of the Chefs\u2019 Choice Award.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is the first time that Estrella Damm\u2019s \u201cGastronomic Experience\u201d has come to Scotland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The event has been inspired by its Gastronomy Congresses, a concept invented by Estrella Damm to bring together many of the world\u2019s best chefs to experience demonstrations and discussions around food. They have previously taken place in Miami, Lisbon, Melbourne and London.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Chef Roca was joined at Colstoun House by his sous chef Ignasi Baucells and showcased a range of inspired dishes, using an array of exciting ingredients, the majority sourced in Scotland. These included:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u2022 Langoustine with sagebrush, vanilla oil and toasted butter<br \/>\n\u2022 Sardines with aromas of Amontillado sherry<br \/>\n\u2022 Green coconut and Scottish \u2018calamari\u2019<br \/>\n\u2022 Royal grouse in an Estrella Damm sauce<br \/>\n\u2022 Whisky Beef Fillet<br \/>\n\u2022 Oysters Albari\u00f1o<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-362231\" src=\"https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Joan-Roca-approved.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Joan-Roca-approved.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Joan-Roca-approved-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">To this day, Estrella Damm is brewed in Barcelona using the original 1876 recipe and 100% local Mediterranean ingredients: barley malt, rice and hops.
