Calling all cocktail lovers! This year\u2019s London Cocktail Week takes place between the 2nd – 8th October and Union Hand-Roasted Coffee is celebrating with the launch of two cocktails: the brand new \u2018A-Team\u2019 and an all-time favourite, the Espresso Martini. Both have been fashioned to create the ultimate new drinking occasion and is the perfect way to celebrate and merge London\u2019s vibrant coffee and cocktail scene.<\/p>\n

The A Team<\/h3>\n

This coffee cocktail is named after its two creators – Annie and Ashley, who after experimenting with a variety of flavours conjured up a fresh and moreish coffee cocktail recipe that they challenge you to sip rather than gulp down in two mouthfuls!<\/p>\n

Coffee Recommendation<\/strong><\/p>\n

All of Union\u2019s citrus and fruity coffees work well in this coffee cocktail recipe, but Maraba, Rwanda coffee works best in this. With flavour notes of citrus and red currant, it\u2019s suitably fruity while delicately balanced with the smoothness of toffee.<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ice cubes
\n25ml coffee concentrate (35g coffee to 250ml water)
\n25ml Gin
\n25ml Cointreau
\n100ml Elderflower Presse
\n1 lime
\n1 Orange<\/p>\n

Method<\/p>\n

Fill glass \u00be of the way with ice
\nPour in the following:
\ncoffee concentrate
\nGin
\nCointreau
\nElderflower Presse
\nSqueeze in quarter of lime
\nPeel orange and twist into drink
\nStir gently twice and serve<\/p>\n

Espresso Martini<\/h3>\n

Coffee Recommendation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Either the rich smooth aftertaste of the Bobolink coffee, or the intense dark chocolate flavour of the Equinox blend would work best with this Espresso Martini.<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cocktail shaker (including strainer)
\nIce cubes
\nDouble espresso
\n50ml Vodka
\n35ml coffee liqueur
\nMethod<\/p>\n

Fill the martini glass with ice to chill
\nPour the vodka, coffee liqueur and espresso into a cocktail shaker with some ice cubes
\nShake vigorously
\nRemove the ice from the glass and serve with a few coffee beans and impress!<\/p>\n
