A penalty try after Service dominated the scrum, opened the scoring with Pete Hoskins adding the extras. Gareth Bond and Moore Holmes both finished from distance with Hoskins adding another conversion to complete the scoring, to win 7-19!!

Next week, Service ‘hop over the hill’ to near neighbours Holywood, in the Gordon West Cup. Holywood too are pushing for honours in the league, so this will be a very interesting exchange between these two teams.

NICS 2nd XV 17 v 27 UUC

Ill-discipline proved costly and decisive on Saturday with the visitors only too happy to take advantage of 14-man Service on two separate occasions. The students went on to overhaul an early Service 12 – 0 lead before running out eventual 17 – 27 winners on the day.

Colts 7 v 27 Larne

Service Colts went down 7 – 27 to a plucky Larne side at Stormont on Saturday. The Colts dominated much of the opening exchanges in the first 20 minutes but were unable to turn that pressure into points. Matt Wilson did score a great try though converted by Andy Lilburn.

Pre-Match Luncheon

NICS RFC President Shaun McMorran is organising a Pre-Match Luncheon on Saturday 1st December, before the Civil Service 1st XV v Holywood and Civil Service 2nd XV v CIYMS league games, in the Maynard Sinclair Pavilion (Clubhouse) at Stormont.

If you would like to be part of this social gathering, please contact Shaun for further details on mobile 07801 808340 or logon to the website and book your place.
