Ophir 23 v 23 Civil Service <\/strong>

\nService travelled to Mount Pleasent in North Belfast on Saturday to take on
\njoint table toppers Ophir in the league. Service were 12 nil up at one
\nstage, but were unable to turn the screw and finish off their stubborn
\nopponents, but still dug in to come away with a 23 all draw which helped
\nkeep them joint top of the league table along with Ophir. This week they
\ntravel to Lurgan in the Gordon West Cup. <\/p>\n

\nWith the 1st XV away, the 2nds hosted their own Ophir counterparts at
\nStormont. This was not as tight as the scoreline might suggest and with a
\nlittle bit more clinical finishing next time round, should show that the
\n2nds are also a team worthy of note. This weeks fixture is still to be
\nconfirmed. <\/p>\n

Youth<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Youth section travelled to Larne to play Instonians and Larne in a Round
\nRobin exchange on Saturday and came away feeling rightly pleased with their
\ndays efforts. In the first game they defeated Instonians before going down
\nto a very abrasive Larne side in the second game at Glynn. This gave the
\nboys some valuable game time experience against well established opposition
\nand bodes well for the future. This week the Youth host Ophir. Players to
\nmeet at the Club at 10am for an 11am kick-off. <\/p>\n

Training<\/strong> <\/p>\n

To help keep this momentum going, it is vitally important that all players
\nfrom all sections attend training sessions on a regular basis. Please make
\nan effort to attend. <\/p>\n

Website <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Club will soon be moving to a new website hosted by Pitchero. More
\ndetails will be released soon. <\/p>\n

Recruitment<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Civil Service Rugby at Stormont is always on the lookout for new recruits at
\nall levels. Training for Seniors and Youth is on Mondays and Wednesdays from
\n6.30pm. Minis (boys and girls) is held on Saturdays from 10am. All new
\nplayers will be very welcome. <\/p>\n
