Perfect for grown-ups who are looking for a more intense chocolate hit this Easter with a range of interesting flavours:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Miso Caramel &#8211; think salted caramel with a twist<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Shaoxing Rice Wine \u2013 a warm, boozy hit<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Wasabi Furikake \u2013 milder than chilli with the added crunch of sesame<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Pickled Sushi Ginger \u2013 chocolate &amp; ginger with the surprising tang of pickle<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Yuzu \u2013 a hint of citrus<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Chocolate Easter Truffles Recipe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Truffle ingredients \u2013 makes approximately 30 &#8211; 36<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-200g dark good quality chocolate<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-60ml double cream<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-80g unsalted butter<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Truffle cases<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Method for all truffles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In a double saucepan (or a Pyrex bowl in a saucepan), place chocolate, butter and cream. Heat through slowly until smooth whilst whisking. Remove from heat and divide into 5 equal portions, adding the various flavourings to each individual portion as below. Place in the fridge to set \u2013 overnight if possible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Filling &amp; coating ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Yutaka Shaoxing rice wine flavouring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-2 tbs Shaoxing rice wine warmed<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Vermicelli for coating<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Yutaka Wasabi Furikake flavouring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-2 tbs Yutaka Wasabi Furikake<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Drinking chocolate for coating<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Yutaka Pickled Sushi Ginger flavouring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-2 tbs chopped Yutaka sushi ginger<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Cocoa for coating<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Yutaka Yuzu flavouring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-2 tsp Yutaka Yuzu<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-100g white chocolate &#8211; gently melted for coating<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Miso caramel sauce filling <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-75g sugar<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-25ml water<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-50ml double cream<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-1 tbs Yutaka Miso<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-100g dark chocolate \u2013 gently melted for coating<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Pink salt crystals for sprinkling on the top<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Miso caramel flavouring method <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Put sugar and water in a heavy bottomed saucepan, stir and leave on a medium heat, stirring occasionally, until caramel in colour. Carefully add double cream (it will hiss a little) and whisk whilst off the heat, add miso paste and whisk thoroughly until smooth. Add 2 tbs of miso caramel sauce to the remaining truffle mixture.\u00a0 The remainder of the sauce saved and used over ice cream for a delicious dessert.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>To finish the truffles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Remove the various truffle mixes from the fridge and, with a teaspoon, scoop out a goodly amount. Roll into a ball and place on a plate (remembering to keeping the various flavours separate) and continue until all the mixture has been used.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Roll the ginger truffles in cocoa and place in truffle cases.\u00a0 Roll the Wasabi Furikake in drinking chocolate and the rice wine truffles in vermicelli and return to fridge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Using a double boiler (or Pyrex bowl in a saucepan) melt the white chocolate over a low heat and, when removed from the heat &amp; cooled slightly, spoon over Yuzu truffles until coated.\u00a0\u00a0 You can use a cocktail stick pushed carefully into a truffle to help you turn and coat with the chocolate.\u00a0 This needs patience!\u00a0 Leave them to set on a plate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Melt the dark chocolate and coat the Miso caramel truffles as above.\u00a0 Sprinkle a couple of pink salt crystals on the top.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Happy Easter!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Perfect for Easter \u2013 Chocolate Truffles with Japanese Flavourings Think Miso, Pickled Ginger, Rice Wine, Wasabi Furikake &amp; Yuzu \u00a0www.yutaka.co\/en FACEBOOK | TWITTER | INSTAGRAM Chocolate truffles have just become a little more sophisticated, thanks to the Japanese food experts, Yutaka.
