Friday Variety Market<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Friday Variety Market, on the St George\u2019s Market site, dates back to 1604. It opens at 6am every week and runs until approximately 2pm. <\/p>\n

There are 248 market stalls selling a variety of products including:
\nfruit
\nvegetables
\nantiques
\nbooks
\nclothes
\nfish.
\nIt is this assorted mix that attracts thousands of visitors each week. The fish section alone contains 23 fish stalls and holds the reputation for being the leading retail fish market on the island of Ireland.

The Saturday Market<\/strong><\/p>\n

This market takes place in St George’s every Saturday from 9am until 3pm. <\/p>\n

Enjoy the best food, tastes and smells brought by local producers including:
\nfish landed at Portavogie
\npork from Cookstown
\nbeef from Armagh
\nvenison
\npheasant in season
\nlocal organic vegetables.
\nAdded to these local delicacies, the market offers a huge range of continental and speciality foods such as:
\nwild boar
\ntapas
\ncheeses
\ncured meats
\nteas and coffees from around the world
\ncaribbean delights
\ndelicious French pastries and crepes.
\nCustomers can sample the products or relax with a coffee and a newspaper while listening to some of the best local musicians as they play live. <\/p>\n

The Saturday Market has a fusion of tempting speciality foods from around the world as well as handmade crafts, flowers, plants and local artwork.<\/p>\n

St George\u2019s Market is open 10am – 4pm on Sundays.

The new Sunday Market<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sunday market opened for the first time on Sunday 4 July and will run for an initial three-month trial \u2013 is a mixture of the traditional Friday Variety Market and Saturday\u2019s award-winning City Food and Garden Market<\/p>\n

It has a special emphasis on local arts and crafts, offering more local craftspeople the opportunity to show off their talents. <\/p>\n

Live music from top local bands and solo artists also ensures that visitors are kept entertained. <\/p>\n

Products on sale include:
\nlocal, continental and specialty foods
\nscented candles
\nclothes
\nhandmade jewellery
\npaintings
