Why dive? Stay on your feet? <\/p>\n<p>2. Keep the ball off the ground. Balls on the ground get lost.<\/p>\n<p>3. Pass the ball.  Passing scores tries. <\/p>\n<p>4. Tackle low. With high tackles, opponents keep gaining ground!<\/p>\n<p>5. Don&#8217;t kick the ball away. Possession is 9\/10ths of the game!<\/p>\n<p>6. Run straight. Pushing your wing into touch, helps nobody.<\/p>\n<p>The most basic rule:-  DON&#8217;T BARGE &#8211; PASS!<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>ERRORS   REPEATED   EVERY   GAME:-<br \/>\nNot a happy list!<br \/>\n(These cannot be avoided by better fitness training.<br \/>\n It is about practice, attitude and common sense.)<\/p>\n<p>Forward pass<\/p>\n<p>Passing too late<\/p>\n<p>Offside <\/p>\n<p>Not staying  on feet in the ruck, while handling<\/p>\n<p>Losing  ball in a charge<\/p>\n<p>Trying to catch  an out-of-reach  ball  and knocking  on<\/p>\n<p>Having  kick  charged  down<\/p>\n<p>Not keeping  eye on the ball and knocking  on<\/p>\n<p>Passing  wildly and into touch.<\/p>\n<p>Passing  too far and allowing  an intercept<\/p>\n<p>Overrunning the ball carrier \t(There are more!)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SIMPLE BASIC PLAYS NEEDING EMPHASIS 1 Stay on your feet.
