Now in the third generation of the Irwin\u2019s family, the business continues to expand across the UK and Ireland through its range of both traditional and modern baked goods. <\/p>\n<p>The Nutty Krust loaf is one of Irwin\u2019s core product lines. Developed by the company in Northern Ireland in the 1960s, the \u2018batch bread\u2019 is made using the same traditional fermentation process as it was back then, giving it a unique taste and texture, and is now sold by Irwin\u2019s in major supermarkets throughout Great Britain and Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNutty Krust is one of our major success stories, having become an iconic Northern Ireland product over the years,\u201d said Michael Murphy, Irwin\u2019s Bakery Commercial Director. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur 100th anniversary is a great opportunity to celebrate the successes of our past and importantly build on our strategy to take Irwin\u2019s into the next hundred years.
