Bucks Nick in to Bust PSNI<\/strong>
\nGrosvenor 4s travelled to Newforge in glorious conditions hoping to build on the previous weeks fine result away to Ards. 3 consecutive away games is a tough way for any team to finish the season but 2 wins from 3 was the 4s aim on Saturday.
\nGrosvenor started at a furious pace scoring 2 cracking early tires through Ross Reid and Craig Steele, both of which were the result of great inter play and slick handling, conversions missed, 10-0. It looked like Grosvenor were going to run riot against PSNI in sweltering weather.
\nHowever, PSNI had asserted early dominance in the scrums and in the second quarter they started to take advantage of this and exploited some very lacklustre defending by Grosvenor. Tackles were being missed, offloads were being allowed and the defensive line were being extremely passive. PSNI scored 3 tries to take a 19-10 lead and with the third quarter shaping up similarly to the second it was beginning to look like Grosvenor were going to squander the early hard work.
\nThe introduction of 3 subs, in the form of David Wallace, George Baca and finally Marty Gault seemed to galvanise the troops and the work rate started to increase. Nick Jones was to the fore both in the tight and loose. The Grosvenor backs looked dangerous on several occasions. Jonny Greer closed the gap with 2 well struck penalties taking the score to 19-16 with about 10 minutes remaining and the result was in the balance.
\nFrom the resultant restart PSNI kicked deep and Grosvenor struck with Dee Montgomery skating in from distance under the posts, but the easy conversion struck the post leaving the score 21-19 with still a few minutes on the clock. Grosvenor hung on to claim the win.
\nMan of the match goes to Nick Jones who was to the fore in all aspects of his play. He was ably assisted by Craig Steele and Stuart Smith who both performed admirably.
\nAnd finally, the PSNI touch judge approached me under the posts at a conversion to say that the ref had asked the PSNI front row to go easier on Grosvenor at the next scrum. The PSNI response was to say that Yea no problem we will take it easier in the scrums when the Grosvenor backs take it easier on our backs. Sounded like a bad deal to me!<\/p>\n

POEM<\/strong>
\nBucks Return to Winning Ways<\/strong>\t\t\t<\/p>\n

On Saturday the Bucks went to Hamilton Park
\nhoping to win and make a mark
\nThe pack bolstered by Tonka, Kenny and Gault
\nthe latter hoping a loss wouldnt be his fault
\nA set of backs to to finish the moves
\nwould hit their straps and the groove
\nWebby playing his last game for some reason
\nmanaged to score his first of the season
\nAndy Moore did 2 tries add
\nvery like his dear old dad
\nTwo other tries added by each team
\n29-10 at the half, it was going a dream
\nThe 2nd half got under way
\nArds had decided to come and play
\nAttack and attack and attack they did
\nup the jumper or under a lid
\nOnly one try did they manage to plunder
\nnever once were the Bucks ripped asunder
\n29-15 was the final score
\nand it certainly wasnt a bore
\nMan of the match is hard to call
\nmany Bucks had hands on the ball
\nI’d have to go for Daniel Bowden
\nwho finally managed to wow them<\/p>\n

Consequences of Being Dropped From the International Panel<\/strong>\t\t\t<\/p>\n

It was recently announced that several of the leading international referees were to be dropped from the international panel. These exclusive shots show just how hard this relegation has effected Wayne Barnes. Only recently Barnes was reffing international matches in the 6 Nations, and now look at him, a shadow of himself.
