The Donegal Town 2nds got proceedings underway in their game with Letterkenny 2nds. It was a close encounter with the home side applying huge amounts of pressure in a first half that saw them hit the lead. The second half was a completely different affair and following a couple of well taken tries the flood gates opened and vitory flowed the way of the homeside on a record breaking day for the Donegal Town RFC scrumhalf Pete-so Cannon who added a new page of history to the annals of the club by becoming the first Senior player to break the 30 points -in-one-game-mark, eclipsing the previous highest score of 28 by a comfortable 4 pt margin. It was a great result under great conditions for the hometeam. Gareth McMurray added two great tries of his own with Donagh O Callaghan, Joe Kennedy and Shane Gillespie adding one each.
