A very good performance by Virginia who scored 11 tries and 7 conversions against a valiant Donegal outfit.<\/p>\n<p>Blue sky and 4G pitch were the conditions on the day allowing for fast running game. Virginia grasped the game by the horns and were ahead after 1 minute when Connor McHugh crossed the line after a \u201cquick tap\u201d penalty.<\/p>\n<p>6 other tries were to be scored in the first half by Gareth Manion, Luke Sherriff, Mantas Ivaskevicius, Connor McHugh, Steven Ryan and Rory Smith. 6 conversions by Daragh O\u2019Leary left the score at 47-0 at the break.<\/p>\n<p>In the second half Virginia score a further 4 tries by Charlie Reilly, Connor McHugh twice and Mantas Ivaskevicius, only one conversion was added.<\/p>\n<p>Ballyshannon scored a penalty with 5 minutes remaining following an off-side infringement by Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>A good game of rugby played in perfect conditions and great spirits from both sides.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VIRGINIA U18 WIN IN BALLYSHANNON &nbsp; Virginia U18 recorded their second win of the season when they beat Ballyshannon on Saturday last by 69 points to 3.
