Last Sunday saw Enniskillen Ladies off to the flying start they were looking for in their Ulster Cup
\ncampaign with a convincing second half performance to see off Sligo ladies with a 43 – 10 win.
\nThe \u2018Skins girls started brightly with the lively Brenda Brogan breaking the Sligo defensive line
\ntwice in quick succession to put them two tries ahead with Caoimhe Morris converting both so
\n\u2018Skins led 14 – 0 after just ten minutes.

\n\u2018Skins however, instead of pushing on, let their heads drop and started to let the speedy Sligo backs
\nplay the rugby they wanted and only some great tackling from Shauna McMorrow and Wendy
\nRogers kept them at bay. The lack of structure in the \u2018Skins defensive line allowed the Sligo backs
\nthrough on a number of occasions, with full back Sarah Teague making some big try saving tackles,132 pictures click here<\/a>
\nbut \u2018Skins\u2019 frantic defence couldn\u2019t hold and the Sligo backs used the overlap to cross in the corner
\nfor an unconverted score.
\nFrom the kick \u2018Skins picked themselves up and started to retain possession, but Sligo were very
\nquick to utilise a fluky turnover, with \u2018Skins poised for attack, and ran in another try using yet
\nanother overlap. Once again the score was unconverted making the score 14 \u2013 10.
\nWith not long left in the first half \u2018Skins knew they must
\nstart to settle. They retained possession from the kick-off
\nand worked play into the Sligo \u201c22\u201d with great ball

\nMcCutcheon showed great strength to cross the line for
\nan unconverted try, to leave the score 19 – 10 at half time.
\n\u2018Skins began the second half knowing that this match was
\nfar from won and they began to retain the ball. Superb
\nruns from both the McMorrow sisters and Rogers kept the
\ngame flowing into the Sligo half and eventually the
\npressure paid off, when from a pick up from the back of a
\nscrum McCutcheon again powered over the line for a
\ngreat try.
