However, it was Donaghadee who started brightly and immediately exposed some nerves in the Bangor defence. Within minutes of the kick-off, Bangor were penalised and the Dee were rewarded with 3 points from the successful kick at goal.
CLICK HERE FOR Pedrie Visit Pictures
Bangor were stung into action and replied with some well taken individual tries which were worked from a number of defensive errors by the Dee. Bangor continued to show some brilliant individual skills – Phil Warke in the lineout, Davy Charles’ mesmerising sidesteps and of course Pete Gray’s line breaking bursts. Ryan Law went under the posts after a hand-off reminiscent of his namesake Courtney, but still Bangor didn’t really settle into their established patterns of play. Donaghadee never gave up and kept Bangor defending for parts of the game but individually the Gryphons were too strong. In the end, Bangor came out comfortably on top, winning by 57 points to 3.
CICK HERE FOR Movember Pictures
The next match is a clash with league leaders Ballymena on Tuesday 13th December at 7:45pm.
