Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Round Up Saturday 13th February 2016.
\nThere were several Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield, Plate, Bowl and Trophy, 2ndxv Cup and Plate and 3rdxv Plate games played midweek in the lead up to a range of Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield and Plate as well as one 1stxv friendly game played on Saturday 13th February. There was also one Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Bowl replay game played midweek.
\nOn Tuesday 9th February Portadown College hosted Friends\u2019 School, Lisburn in the quarter-final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Plate in a game the Portadown College team won by 17-0.
\nFoyle and Londonderry College hosted Carrickfergus Grammar School in the semi-final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Trophy competition. The Foyle College team had built up a 5-0 lead by halftime before going on to record a 26-0 victory. The Carrickfergus Grammar School team had good performances from their wingers, Josh Porter and David Vance, during the game.
\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Bowl quarter-final replay, played on Wednesday 10th February, Grosvenor Grammar School defeated Portadown College by 29-12.
\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Cup semi-finals played on Wednesday 10th February, Royal Belfast Academical Institution travelled to play Ballymena Academy and came away with a 24-6 victory. Ballyclare High School travelled to play Down High School and won that Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Cup semi-final by 9-3. The arrangements for the final of this competition are to be confirmed.
\nIn the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 2ndxv Plate semi-final Sullivan Upper defeated Omagh Academy by 32-0. Rory Jemphrey scored three tries as well as kicking two conversions and a penalty for the Sullivan Upper team while Nameer Shazsed and Andy Weir scored one try each.
\nOn Thursday 11th February a Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Plate quarter-final game involving Sullivan Upper and Banbridge Academy was played in Holywood. The Sullivan Upper team recorded won the game by 45-0.
\nMeanwhile, on the same afternoon Dalriada School hosted Regent House in the semi-final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Bowl competition. The Dalriada School Medallion team won the game by 17-0.
\nOn Friday 12th February Royal School, Armagh hosted Ballymena Academy in the replay of their Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate Round 1 game. Ballymena Academy won the replay by 22-5 and will now play Campbell College in the quarter-final of the competition. Wallace High School defeated Dalriada School by 22-7 in the quarter-final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate competition. The Wallace High School team will now travel to play Ballyclare High School in the semi-final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 3rdxv Plate competition.
\nOn the same afternoon Belfast Royal Academy hosted Coleraine Grammar School in the first of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield quarter-final games. Both teams were missing a number of front line players for game but the players that came in as replacements did not let their teams down. The Belfast Royal Academy team won the game by 31-0 with U14 player, Rob Sturgess, scoring one try, captain, Tom Stewart scoring one try and \u201cMan of the Match\u201d Brandon Hassan, scoring a hat trick. Daniel Logan was successful with three of his five conversion kicks.
\nThe Royal School, Dungannon Medallion team hosted Limavady Grammar School in the quarter-final of the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Plate competition on Friday 12th February. The Royal School, Dungannon team won the game by 13-7 with \u201cMan of the Match\u201d Luke McMullan scoring all thirteen points for his team.
\nOn Saturday 13th February three Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Shield games were played.
\nBallyclare High School hosted Royal Belfast Academical Institution in a game the Belfast Inst team won by 55-0. Wallace High School travelled to play Omagh Academy and came away with a 31-7 victory. Methodist College played Royal School, Armagh at Pirrie Park and won the game by 19-10.
\nIn the final Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Plate quarter-final game played on Saturday 13th February Campbell College, Belfast defeated Rainey Endowed School by 47-0.
\nThe second Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Bowl semi-final game took place on Saturday 13th February took place in Enniskillen when Portora Royal School hosted Bangor Grammar School. The Bangor Grammar School team won the game by 42-0 and will play Dalriada School in the final. Arrangements for this final are to be confirmed.
\nThe second Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Trophy semi-final featuring Grosvenor Grammar School and Cambridge House Grammar School was postponed due to an unplayable pitch. The replay of this game will be confirmed as soon as possible with the winners due to play Foyle and Londonderry College in the final.
\nThe draws for the Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Medallion Schools\u2019 Shield and Plate semi-finals took place when all the quarter-final results were known.

\nThere was one 1stxv friendly game played on Saturday 13th February when Regent House entertained Carrickfergus Grammar School. Both teams used the game as an opportunity to use extended squads and a number of players made their 1stxv debuts. The Regent House team won the game by 61-7. The Regent team scored first half tries through Matthew Stanex, Rory Jackson, Ryan Colwell and Lewis English. Robbie Johnston converted all four. The Carrickfergus Grammar School team played with great commitment and scored a fine converted try through Fionn McCormack .
\nThe second half saw the Regent House team run in five more tries with David Jamison scoring a hat trick and Ryan McCarroll and Josh Crossan touching down for one try each. Robbie Johnston was successful with four out of five conversions in the second half of the game.
\nThe Sullivan Upper Rugby Staff have been overwhelmed with messages of support for their 1stxv coach, Willie Anderson, and their 1stxv captain, Chris Jordan, both of whom ended up in hospital during their Danske Bank Ulster Schools\u2019 Cup Round 3 game on Saturday 6th February.
