In his own words:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The example  of rugby  whether it is\u00a0 Ulster, Ireland or the\u00a0British  &amp; Irish Lions is\u00a0its ability to be inclusive and so build  relationships  between the\u00a0people in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and between these islands.\u00a0It promoted an  inclusive Britishness and Irishness when\u00a0others not only failed to do so but actually did the opposite.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As we look to the future, in sporting terms we can support a\u00a0Northern Ireland Football Team,\u00a0(look\u00a0at the work and leadership they have shown in tackling sectarianism which was destroying their game) that promotes a Northern Ireland for all. In rugby we can support Ulster, Ireland and the British &amp;\u00a0Irish lions\u00a0or in the\u00a0Gaelic Athletic  Association,\u00a0bearing in mind the out-reach work they are involved in, and the concept of\u00a0inclusion promoted by their\u00a0Chairman,\u00a0Danny  Murphy, we can support the County in which we live.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The challenge is to stand against those who seek to exclude\u00a0by\u00a0standing up for\u00a0the very simple concept of friendship that\u00a0I found in rugby when  playing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finally, politics exists whether we like it or not. It&#8217;s breakdown led to terrible consequences for our society which is going to take along time to\u00a0heal. We should not leave it to those who\u00a0hate the most and\u00a0so it is incumbent on all of  us who do care about the future to get involved.\u00a0At the most simple level that means vote and encourage your friends to vote.
