Our travelling North America reporter Derek Clements reports that the tourists had a
\nhard fought win against a strong Boston Babas squad. The boys overcame heat
\n(80 plus degrees again) a 3G pitch which caught out some of the boys with
\nunsuitable footwear and American Football marking added top the confusion
\nbut a tour is for adventure.
\nThe Babas were a selection of five local teams and this helped add to the
\nlarge crowd watching the game,

\nAdam Duhig opened the scoring when he touched down in the corner following a
\nneat positional kick by Michael Lawton.

\nUnfortunately Dungannon lost Stuart McKenzie with an injury but Craig Miller
\nstepped up to the mark. Dungannon scored again following a good lineout and
\nquick hands from a ruck saw Junior Vic Paul Magee race in. Michael Lawton
\nconverted
\n0 – 12.
\nThe Babas showed a lot of strength on their first visit to Dungannon
\ntwenty-two and their loose head Braiden Despain scored.

\nJust before halftime some good Dungannon pressure resulted in a charge down
\nfrom which Adam gathered and scored his second try of the tour. Again
\nMichael Lawton converted.
\n5 \u2013 19
\nThe Babas upped their game second half with a much changed line up and
\nlooked fairly dangerous. Their handling was good and they were rewarded with
\ntries from full back Glynn Mackenzie, number 8 Alex Verdageur and centre
\nAlex Rollins. Two of the tries were converted putting the Babas five points
\nahead. Dungannon unfortunately lost Ethan Allen with an injury.

\nDungannon dug deep and responded magnificently with Adam Duhig going close
\nbefore Paul Magee raced over for his second try of the game to level the
\nscores. The ever cool Michael Lawton slotted over the conversion to put
\nDungannon ahead.
\n26 \u2013 24
\nThe Babas almost stole the game in the last minute when their outhalf just
\nmissed a drop goal attempt. Dungannon had held their line and won a very
\ntight competitive game showing massive commitment against a physically much
\nbigger side.
