Those in work are mainly manual labourers, but they were very enthusiastic and anxious to learn. Roger came home for two weeks in March to attend the Ireland v England match at Landsdowne Road. He asked if Belfast Harlequins RFC could raise some money for his club as they badly needed a scrummaging machine which they could not afford.
With that in mind, Quins Luncheon Club members rallied and held a fund raising lunch at Deramore on Tuesday 22nd March. At the lunch Roger spoke of his experiences during his International career and his two tours with the British & Irish Lions. There was a excellent turnout and £5000 was raised.

A big thank you to our President Wes Kettyle, Brian Stafford and everyone who attended and helped make the event a great success.

FOR more visit Belfast Halreuqins Website – CLICK HERE

Quins RFC members raised £5000 for Irish Legend to buy scrummage machine for rugby club North of Capetown.
