The organisers of this event could not have picked a better day. The best sunny day for ages was the scene for a very high standard Tag tournament & BBQ! Running tag rugby in a different environment played on small qualifyer pitches then played on full half pitches for the semi’s and finals gave the teams vital experience and the ability to organise themselves no matter what the conditions. A festival atmosphere made for an excellent day and the organisers did an excellent job, well done to Cooke rugby Club and in particular Scotty McClure.<\/p>\n

Teams playing were: Thundercats, Tagged & Tested, Shipwrecked, Leagles, Rabbiots, Deep Heat, I.S. touched me up, PWC, Wolfpack, Junglecats, Wolves, Dynamic Hips.<\/p>\n

Thankyou so much to everyone for attending and great to see new teams created for this event – maybe it won’t be too long before tag is played in parks and all over – what a great game!<\/p>\n

The standard at this event was very high indeed and many of the teams will be competing in the All Ireland Finals.<\/p>\n

Overall champions WolfPack were awesome and the beaten finalist PWC only lost by 1 point a golden try scenario from Legend Keith Pyper. His winning try a superb individual effot is the first try in the video clip below
