For this first game of the New Year they had to make the short journey up to Ballyclare. They already had league and cup wins against Ballyclare this season but these were at home. They were mindful that it had been Ballyclare who ended their long winning streak in the corresponding fixture last season.<br \/>\nIt was clear that the heavy conditions were going to have a big influence and so it proved. Ballyclare kicked off for Instonians to gain possession and take the ball back to the halfway line. Ballyclare were penalised at the first breakdown to allow scrum half Matthew Keane to kick for touch inside the opposition 22. They threw to the back of the line out and set up a maul which took them 5-6 metres before releasing and setting up up several phases through their forwards&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..
