Despite the cold weather Lurgan had the home advantage with great support on the side-lines. Although Newry had a much more experienced team and a heavier pack, Lurgan\u2019s youth and fervour prevailed once again.<br \/>\nYoung Jordan McIlwaine, in number 10, did a great job covering the captaincy in David Wellwood\u2019s absence. McIlwaine together with Drew Davis have organised the backline well executing simple yet effective moves. Lurgan outrun their opponents at every turn using quick moves and spreading the ball wide.<br \/>\nMathew Laird, Desmond Bingham and Andrew Grey excelled with their skills carrying strongly and making significant yards for Lurgan.
