{"id":109900,"date":"2015-08-19T18:41:52","date_gmt":"2015-08-19T17:41:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/?p=109900"},"modified":"2020-11-09T15:17:19","modified_gmt":"2020-11-09T15:17:19","slug":"decisive-womens-sevens-qualifier-to-stream-live-from-dublin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intouchrugby.com\/magazine\/decisive-womens-sevens-qualifier-to-stream-live-from-dublin\/","title":{"rendered":"Decisive women&#8217;s sevens qualifier to stream live from Dublin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- STICK HEADLINE HERE --><\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" align=\"center\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<table id=\"backgroundTable\" style=\"width: 100%; margin: 0px auto; border: #2a3d83 10px solid;\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\">\n<h1 style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-size: 28px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-weight: bold; color: #000; margin-top: 0px; line-height: 32px;\">Decisive women&#8217;s sevens qualifier to stream live from Dublin <!-- HEADLINE ENDS HERE --><\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\"><!-- MAIN TEXT MEDIA RELEASE STARTS HERE, DON'T FORGET TO KEEP THE STYLE BITS IN THE TAGS -->Twelve women\u2019s sevens teams have arrived in Ireland ahead of this weekend\u2019s sevens series qualifier in Dublin.<\/p>\n<p>The top two teams from the event will qualify as core teams on next season\u2019s HSBC World Rugby Women\u2019s Sevens Series circuit.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil, China, Colombia, Hong Kong, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, the Netherlands, Samoa, South Africa, Wales and hosts Ireland all hope to join the sides who retained their core status by finishing in the top nine in the 2014-15 series standings.<\/p>\n<p>The two qualified sides from this weekend will join champions New Zealand, Canada, Australia, England, USA, France, Russia, Fiji and Spain on the circuit next year.<\/p>\n<p>Inclusion on next season\u2019s series would be especially beneficial to teams like Ireland and Mexico who have still a chance to qualify for next year\u2019s Olympic Games when they take part in the global repechage next June, which will decide the 12th and final qualifier for the women\u2019s event at Rio 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil and Columbia have already confirmed their place at Rio 2016 alongside New Zealand, Australia, Canada and Team GB.<\/p>\n<p>The event will stream live online with fans able to log on to irishrugby.ie where they can watch all the action from the UCD Bowl in Dublin.<\/p>\n<p>The action kicks off with China facing Kenya at 11.00am (GMT +1) with Ireland v South Africa closing proceedings on day one.
