WATER WATER EVERYWHERE: The Nightmare Of Burst Pipes!

We arrived at Shaws Bridge for Instonians Rugby club veterans game/open day to find a clubhouse virtually swimming in water.

Clubs all over found themselves in the same position as the thaw set in. The temperature had increased from -14 and lower on Boxing Day to +3 and then +10 in 24 hours.

Obviuously disgusted with the mess the clean up had already begun and in the midst of it all we still had a chat about up coming games!

Well done to the team at Shaws Bridge on Monday who had put in a production line of pushing the water from the 1st floor bar towards the stairs which was then brushed down the stairs, to be pumped out of the building.

What a nightmare!

So as we count the cost after the big freeze hopefully that is the worst of the weather over and we can all get back to the rugby -lets hope so!
