Stewarts Butchers began trading on Darling Street Enniskillen in October 1979. The owner local man Gabriel Stewart had returned from Dewhurst’s London after being introduced to the butchery business in his home town of Enniskillen. 17 years later the current shop in Church Street was opened with 6 staff including Gabriel’s son Shane. This award winning butchers now has 20 staff, is nationally recognised and has added a thriving deli. Time waits for no man and Gabriel retired in 2011 leaving Shane in charge. Today Shane carries on the family tradition.
Stewarts Butchers prides itself in looking after the local man and hence source much of its wide range of meats, poultry and game in County Fermanagh and the adjoining area. Great produce, service and a friendly welcome has allowed Stewarts Butchers to win a host of prestigious business awards over the years. Embrace change, be innovative and listen to the customer is the Stewart policy and Shane will continue to run the business this way. The future looks bright for Fermanagh’s premier butchers and delicatessen.
