Sports Clubs – Boost your revenue by hosting 2012 Olympic Games Campers:

Would you like to generate funds for your club? How does the potential income of £26,000* over just four weeks during the Olympics sound?

Have you got space to host a temporary campsite at your sports club?

Do you have facilities such as toilets and showers or somewhere you can site portable ones?

If you answered yes to the above then take advantage of the chance to create a temporary Olympic campsite with heaps of support from the UK’s largest on-line campsite booking website – Campingninja, and inject new funding into your sports club as a result.

Not only is this an opportunity to really increase your revenue but it’s a great chance to provide a fun event for the community, raise your profile and be seen to provide fun, affordable accommodation during one of the biggest events the UK has hosted.

With 6.6 million Olympics tickets allocated, London, already one of the busiest capitals in the world, will be crammed full of eager spectators keen to ensure they make the most of their Olympic experience. People are already booking accommodation as prices are set to soar so why not get on board and offer a cost-effective alternative?

How does it work?

We’ve made it as easy as possible, just follow these steps:

Request a free pack which includes everything you need to know about setting up a campsite and how you can make this work for your particular club. Step by step.
You decide to sign up with “Camping At The Games” to rent out a particular amount of camping space. (Don’t worry – we can help you work out how much)
We create a profile for your sports centre on both the Campingninja and Camping At The Games websites.
We run 10 months of national and international marketing and advertising campaigns (online and offline) to promote and generate bookings for your club.
We will process all of the bookings online, handle all of the transactions and any customer queries – you won’t have to worry about any administration.
You start receiving the revenue as soon as the bookings are made (from December 2011 onwards).
For four weeks in Summer 2012 your club has a temporary campsite and you make a lot of additional revenue to put directly into sports development.

Camping at a sports club is a great solution to the expensive issue visitors will face when trying to find somewhere to sleep during their Olympic experience. It will also offer the local community the chance to come together and show off their patch of Great Britain and offers sports clubs a welcome financial boost, due to the camping fees and any additional activities that may be put on. Taking part in the scheme will raise the profile of the sports club, promoting better engagement with members creating opportunities for volunteering and to make revenue through the bar and catering facilities – think BBQs and breakfasts!
