Schools CCRO – Davy Wilson Represents The Knowledge & Ability of The People ofLarne Rugby Club – The U17s Win Ophir & Ordinary People Working For the Betterment OF Our Province

There is not a single person in Larne RFC who does not know the meaning of sacrifice and grit. Davy Wilson knows everyone of them personally and we were lucky to accompany him on a trip to an Ireland match to watch Stephen & the boys playing and he like so many Ulster Rugby people knows exactly the mentality required to win. The following information supplied by him late on a Sunday night is informational and is also inspirational

Larne RFC Schools Rugby Development, By Davy Wilson

– U17 won Ophir 7s recently & were mainly kids new to rugby last season

– Played carrick who are arguably the top youth structure in Ulster & whilst 13s & 17s both lost, they competed well & have massive potential. These will be a work in progress in leagues this year with u15s planned for friendlies BUT we do need some more volunteers if anyone can offer a little time & commitment.

– 12 sept – LGS V LHS year9 at grammar – will be good game & LGS will be surprised how good LHS kids are!
– 13 sept GOLF DAY – please contact to enter singularly or as a team-see www.larnerfc.com for details.
– 14 sept Friendlies home this Sat v Ballyclare at 11am.
– 21 sept friendlies away coleraine 11am then hitting the beach for fun & BBQ.
– 28 sept return friendly v Ballyclare away.

Thereafter fixtures are attached.

My role as CCRO is in schools & whilst i will take training each thurs, i will only be free sat am every other week as youngest is a footballer & i want to watch him also therefore would ask anyone interested in helping to rsvp.

Worth highlighting 2 ‘old boys’ playing at weekend – David Mcilwaine & Gareth McAuely (NI man of match). Neither forget their roots & David is very visible around the club which is great for passing his professional experience on.

Many thanks for reading & hopefully supporting & good idea monty for sharing this info.

Larne SUFTUM supporters bus will leave fairhill at 1745 this fri for Glasgow game; rsvp to book a seat;

– £4 adults
– £3 kids
– Need your own ticket.

This is something we do every home game & will possibly run a trip to Limerick later in season – great way to enjoy Fri nights & have a beer!
