Conditions: fine spring day, dry, firm pitch with cold breeze from the east.
This was a game that Instonians had to win with a bonus point if they were to have any chance of retaining the league title which they won last season. However, in spite of their best efforts they remain one point behind league leaders Bangor as we head for the final Saturday of the league next week. They had hoped that Clogher Valley, the only team to beat Instonians in the league this season, would do them a favour by beating Bangor or at least deny them a bonus point win in their home encounter against the league leaders…….
